Work style definitely looks a bit different for so many in 2020 as a remote worker, but so many still have to get dressed and show up. Pairing pieces together in a way that stands out and still looks professional can definitely be a struggle. So in this post I’m sharing some of my go-to plus size fall work outfits and styling ideas I wear time and time again.
7 Fall Work Outfits to Try This Season
Shirt Dresses & Wide Leg Pants
Shirt dresses provide many ways to refresh pieces that may already exist in your wardrobe! Wear them as is, style them open as a duster for fall layer action, or buttoned half way down with pants. I recently styled this abstract print shirt dress over some wide leg paper bag waist wide leg pants.
Blazer Turtleneck Denim Combo
Add a classic blazer and turtleneck top to any work bottoms for a polished, professional fall outfit. Click here for more fall blazer outfit inspiration.
Jumpsuits
Speaking of blazers, they’re also great to style with jumpsuits. Mix it up and with prints, patterns, and color blocking. Monochrome looks in shades of brown, green, red, and yellow will definitely fit for a fall vibe.
Sweaters + Skirts + Dresses
Sweater and skirt combos are one of my favorite plus size outfit ideas. Mix and match all those sweaters you’ve got piled up (I’m so guilty) with the skirts. You can also try this with any sheath dresses you’ve been wearing during summer. Gotta love versatile style!
Sweater Dresses
Switch up from sweater separates with a sweater dress! Add boots, a slinky necklace, chic earrings and you’re good to go!
Denim Dresses
Denim dresses are another great way to bring denim to the office. Don’t be afraid to elevate from a classic blues with a warm colored one like this mustard yellow dress. Denim dresses that can unbutton all the way can double as outerwear too! See how I styled this denim dress as a fall jacket here.
Long Sleeve Fancy Tops
It’s easy to get stuck or bored of a traditional long sleeve top and pant combo. Add personality by switching out basic tops with long sleeve tops with fun details like ruffle sleeves, interesting prints, and pussybows. Tap here for more inspo on fashionable work outfits that aren’t boring.
Power Suits
Last but certainly not least are powersuits! Once a classic always a classic. Having 2 piece powersuits instantly bump up your fall workwear options by three! You can rock the blazer by itself, style the pants with all your tops, and of course wear both pieces together. Here’s my recommendation on places to buy power suits all year round here.
