Shiny shiny shiny yeah!!! We’ll get into all the deets on colorful plus size dresses, but first some real talk! With Summer right around the corner I’m focused on 3 simple things. 1). Starting on my new apparel shop, Natural Attitude Apparel, off my heart and into fruition. 2.) Enjoying my upcoming summer vacation with my family! 3.) Being myself and shining regardless of any negativity that may try to trigger me into a depressing and unproductive space. So I’ve been consuming positive content from blogs, to podcasts, to encouraging books across the internet and continuing to dress in things that make me beam when I look in the mirror, like this sunshine bright yellow ruffle dress I snagged on Target.
If you’ve been rocking with me from the earlies you know that seeing me in this colorful plus size dress is a huge evolution from my all black everything everyday style a few years back. Hey that’s still me, but now I’m not mad at having fun with color from time to time. I recently mentioned 3 colors that are perfect for plus size summer outfits and yellow was definitely on that list. I honestly think that yellow is a color that is just “yass” across the spectrum of skin tones.
The fun and flirty ruffles and the asymmetrical one “sleeve” situation also had me sold. Even more awesome I got this dress for a cool $15 on sale at Target. It’s also going to be really easy to make this dress casual with some sneakers, flat sandals, or a denim jacket. I accessorized with a straw bag I thrifted (round up of straw bags for summer here) and some comfy sandals with a little height (similar sandals here and more below).
This dress definitely brought a smile to my face and a mood for more colorful plus size dresses to style this summer.
