In my last post I shared what I’m wearing at work for Valentine’s Day, but what if I had the day to myself. First off I’d probably sleep in till about 10am after dropping my son to school. The I would wake up and have breakfast in bed with babe, and have some type of lunch date. It’s not often that we get to be alone since we’re the only family we have here in Tally. I saw this pink plus size dress on Lane Bryant and knew it would be perfect for a going VDay day time date.

Lane Bryant Ruffle Sleeve Swing Dress
When it comes to most holidays I just like to keep things chill and low key. However I still need a touch of something special in the simplest of fashions. I’m here for the ruffle sleeve and bow detail which gives the dress a romantic vibe. What I really love about this dress is the carefree shape of it. It’s definitely not your traditional expected body con and that’s actually a good thing. Who the heck wants a to be restricted by a body con when the goal is to have a food baby by the end of the the date?! Right!
Now I don’t do this often, but with a simpler outfit there’s nothing like some heels to elevate (pun intended) the look. I traded my usual flats and low block heels for these gold sequin heels and I must say they’re super comfy for a date. It can be easily dressed down with some sneakers and a denim jacket. If it was any colder some leggings and a cute coat would make this look cozy chic.
Even after Valentine’s Day is over, I can wear this dress in the spring and summer seasons. Pink is always in.
